Join us for a traditional Osage meal with head cook and

after the noon meal

Wak'on Owatsi

Social dance will follow the dinner at the Pawhuska Arbor. All are welcome to dance. We would like to encourage everyone to wear your traditional clothes and blankets as it will likely be cold. Please dress warmly.

The dance will begin with a prayer followed by a set of round dances. We will then have sets of war dance songs, with approximately 15 minutes between sets. We will sing the song composed by Rock Pipestem for this dance.  Men and women, boys and girls will sit together inside the arbor.

We will not have head staff, nor will we have giveaway songs.  If you would like to speak during the dance, please let our hosts know.  If you feel inspired to giveaway, we ask that you limit the number of people you call up, then take your gifts to those that you would like to honor in that way.
